About
Silent Meditative Forest Walk
Guided forest walk with poetry reading
A silent walk means that we move together as a group, but remain in our own thoughts without speaking. In this way, you can experience the forest—and yourself—in a deeper and more mindful way.
Along the way, the guide reads poems by the forest poet Hans Børli. If you’d like to take off your shoes and walk barefoot, this is a perfect opportunity.
The group can choose whether the walk takes place in the forest near the hotel, or if we travel (approx. 20 minutes by car) to an area of emerging old-growth forest on the Swedish side.
Walking distance: 2–2.5 km
Duration: approx. 1–1.5 hours
“Happiness is like wild animals in the forest; it grows trusting and comes close to your camp when you no longer chase after it.”
— Hans Børli
